Darius Barnes was a Broadway dancer, theater artist, director, choreographer, and community organizer who recently passed away at the age of 34. His cause of death is still unknown. I used to teach for Move (NYC) and The School of American Ballet’s Alumni Advisory Committee on Diversity and Inclusion. In addition, at the school where she studied, The Baltimore School of the Arts, she gave master classes there. She has also taught at the Broadway Dance Center in New York and Operation Triple Threat in Barbados. Barnes was a visiting professor at Greenwich Dance Studio.
