Tyson “TenZ” Ngo was born to his father Thanh Ngo. Thanh’s most recent IG post is a Father’s Day lunch with Tyson. Although very few, most of Thanh’s posts are about food.
On his Facebook, Thanh revealed that he attended Nanaimo District High School. There is still not much about her work. But, according to her recent Facebook posts from her, she has also started to delve into streaming.
As for his family, Thanh has three brothers; Billy, Thi and Bobby Ngo.
Bobby currently works at Casino Nanaimo as a Table Games Supervisor, Poker Supervisor, and Cage Supervisor. He graduated from the Vancouver Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Billy has been a Software Development Engineer at Amazon.com since February 2020. He previously worked at Google. He has a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of British Columbia in 2014 and a Bachelor of Business Administration (General Management) from the University of Vancouver Island.
As for Thi, he currently works at the Great Canadian Casino. She previously worked at Ngo & Nguyen Contracting.
All four brothers were born to their father Hung Ngo. Hung Ngo is a native of Nanaimo, British Columbia, and calls the place his hometown.

Tyson “TenZ” Ngo’s mother is Valerie Turcotte.
Valerie spoke with Nerd Street and gave some insights on how to raise Tyson and how to support his passion.
“I really supported his passion for gaming,” Valerie said shortly after TenZ and Sentinels qualified for Masters: Iceland. “When he started to get older, as a teenager, he wasn’t partying or drinking, he was just playing, so that was amazing… I was 16 when I was pregnant with Tyson, so I thought, ‘thank God for my son is a nerd, karma is not a bitch.’”
Raising Tyson wasn’t easy for Valerie. “She was a young mother, she was a single mother, so I raised Tyson myself, I had a lot of family support. I have an amazing family: I have three siblings, there are three siblings on their father’s side, there are grandparents, my parents, there was a lot of family support,” she explained, “I could work part-time and have my siblings babysit. Tyson and continue to be a very active full-time mom.”
She added: “When you’re a mom, on your own, you give them everything they want. But she never took that for granted, he wasn’t an idiot kid. If he was a brat, he would have stopped doing that, but he was always so humble and kind and sweet, so I didn’t mind giving him my all.”
Valerie is proud of how far TenZ has come. She is also proud that her son is currently dating and now engaged to her girlfriend Kyedae. She explained, “I don’t have any more game tips for him, but if he ever needs mom, I’ll always be there. He is doing his thing. He has his girlfriend now on the gaming thing and that support, so they can tackle it together and be a power couple.”
“She stands up for him so mom can sit and watch,” Valerie said. nerd street. “I’ll go back and forth, watching them flow, and just laugh at how different the flows are. I love their streams together. My afternoons are free, so I sit there and watch the stream. I love it.”
In 2022, Valerie is currently in a relationship with Chris Hide. They have been together since at least 2020.
As for Valerie and Thanh’s relationship, they are still friends. In fact, if you check out Thanh’s Facebook post, you can see Valerie playfully teasing her ex-partner. So, they are still on good terms with each other.
