Her father, Malaysia Vasudevan, was a famous Tamil playback singer and actor of Malaysian origin, who died on 20 February 2011. Her mother’s name is Usha. She has a sister named Pavithra and a brother named Yugendran Vasudevan, an Indian Singaporean actor, singer, host, and music director. In 2023, Yugendran participated in the Tamil version of the reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss’ season 7, which aired on Star Vijay and streamed on Disney+ Hotstar.

In 2015, she lent her voice to the song ‘Agaramodu Lagaram’ from the Tamil film ‘Maha Maha.’

After completing my bachelor’s in computer science, I got married and seven years after 12B, my next song was in GV Prakash’s Veyil (Iraivanai…). And from then, there was no looking back as I worked with Yuvan Shankar Raja. It was Harris Jayaraj’s Mundhinam Partheney… in Vaaranam Aayiram that gave me a new lease of life.”
